Master Wu's Lineages
In China, traditional arts and disciplines are passed on through a discipleship system. In this system, the acknowledged Master of a given discipline teaches a small circle of close students. Traditionally, the Master will always design many obstacles for the students, making it difficult to continue studying. Most students will eventually drop off because of these obstacles.
When the Master feels the time is right, he (or she) will select the next “lineage holder” from the close-knit circle of students who have had the perseverance to carry on. The lineage holder is then responsible to preserve the entire system of knowledge and pass this knowledge to others.
Master Wu is the lineage holder of four different schools of Qigong and martial arts:
- 18th generation - Mt WuDang Dragon Gate style Qigong (Wudang Longmen Pai 武当龙门派)
- 8th generation - Mt. Emei Sage/Shaman style Qigong (Emei Zhengong 峨眉 真功)
- 7th generation - Dai Family Heart-Mind internal martial arts (DaiShi XinYi Quan 戴氏心意拳)
- 12th generation - Mt WuDang He style Taiji (WuDangHeShi Taiji 武当和氏太极)
